Sosialisasi Pemanfaatan Mikroba Lokal sebagai Sumber Biofertilizer di SMK PP Negeri Mataram

Abstrak

Penggunaan pupuk kimia sintetis secara intensif telah menyebabkan degradasi kesuburan tanah, pencemaran lingkungan, serta ketergantungan tinggi pada input produksi yang mahal. Alternatif yang ramah lingkungan adalah pemanfaatan mikroba lokal sebagai biofertilizer yang mampu melarutkan fosfat, menambat nitrogen, dan menghasilkan hormon pertumbuhan tanaman. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman guru-guru SMK PP Negeri Mataram tentang peran mikroba lokal dalam pertanian berkelanjutan, sekaligus memberikan keterampilan dasar teknik isolasi bakteri pelarut fosfat dari rhizosfer. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi materi, diskusi interaktif, praktik laboratorium, serta evaluasi pemahaman melalui pre-test dan post-test. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman signifikan setelah sosialisasi, di mana mayoritas guru memperoleh nilai post-test di atas 80. Antusiasme juga terlihat pada praktik isolasi, karena guru memperoleh pengalaman langsung yang sebelumnya belum pernah dilakukan. Dampak kegiatan ini tidak hanya meningkatkan pengetahuan guru mengenai biofertilizer, tetapi juga membuka peluang integrasi materi mikroba lokal ke dalam kurikulum sekolah sebagai alternatif pertanian ramah lingkungan
