Pemanfaatan Limbah Kulit Kopi Menjadi Pupuk Organik Kompos Dan Pupuk Organik Cair (POC) Bernilai Ekonomi Melalui Pemberdayaan Kelompok Tani Sinar Agro Permata Di Desa Sumber Rejo, Kecamatan Purwosari, Kabupaten Pasuruan

Abstrak

Sumber Rejo Village, Purwosari District, Pasuruan Regency is one of the coffee-producing areas in East Java, generating a substantial amount of coffee husk waste during each harvesting season. This waste has not been optimally utilized and is commonly discarded around processing areas, potentially causing environmental pollution. At the same time, farmers still rely heavily on inorganic fertilizers, resulting in increased production costs. This community service program aimed to improve the knowledge and practical skills of members of the Sinar Agro Permata Farmer Group in processing coffee husk waste into compost and liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) with economic value. The program employed a Participatory Action Research approach through coordination, socialization, technical training, demonstration plots, mentoring, monitoring, and evaluation. The activities involved 55 farmer group members. Demonstration plots successfully produced 100 kg of compost and 50 liters of liquid organic fertilizer as learning media and field application materials. Evaluation results indicated that prior to the training, approximately 90% of participants had no knowledge of compost and liquid organic fertilizer production. After completing the program, 85% of participants were able to independently produce both products according to the recommended procedures. The program successfully enhanced community capacity in utilizing coffee husk waste into environmentally friendly products with potential economic benefits while supporting sustainable agriculture and circular economy practices.
