Pemberdayaan Pemuda Desa Sandubaya Lombok Barat Melalui Penerapan Konsep Circular Agriculture Pengolahan Limbah Peternakan Berbasis Bioaktivator

Abstrak

Pengelolaan limbah peternakan menjadi pupuk organik merupakan strategi utama dalam menerapkan prinsip ekonomi di wilayah pedesaan untuk mengatasi risiko pencemaran lingkungan sekaligus menciptakan kemandirian petani dan peternak. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan, dan keterampilan teknis para pemuda dan pelajar di Desa Sandubaya, Kabupaten Lombok Barat, dalam mengolah limbah feses sapi dan kambing menjadi pupuk kompos. Metode yang diterapkan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR) melalui tahapan: diskusi kelompok terarah (FGD), sosialisasi dan edukasi, pelatihan praktik pembuatan kompos bioaktivator (EM4 dan molases). Bahan utama yang digunakan meliputi 50 kg feses sapi, 25 kg feses kambing, 20 kg sekam padi sebagai bahan kaya karbon, 1 liter molases, dan 100 ml EM4 sebagai bioaktivator mikrobia. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui uji mutu fisik kompos. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan kompos yang dihasilkan terfermentasi sempurna selama 14 hari dengan karakteristik fisik warna coklat tua kehitaman, aroma khas tanah (earthy), bertekstur remah. Program pengabdian ini membuktikan bahwa pengolahan limbah lokal berbasis integrasi bioaktivator efisien dalam mewujudkan regenerasi petani muda teknopreneur dan keberlanjutan agroekosistem pedesaan di NTB.
