The Effect of “Quizizz Application” on Learning Motivation of Tenth Grade Students At Ma Mamba’ul Ulum Mambak in Academic Year 2024

Abstract

Penerapan teknologi pembelajaran merupakan salah satu kunci keberhasilan dalam mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Dalam kelas Bahasa Inggris, media pendukung sangat dibutuhkan untuk membantu siswa belajar lebih mudah dipahami. Media alternatif dalam pembelajaran digunakan untuk membantu guru membuat kegiatan pembelajaran lebih inovatif dan siswa lebih termotivasi dalam belajar Bahasa Inggris dibandingkan dengan menggunakan media konvensional. Salah satu media pembelajaran berbasis aplikasi adalah Quizizz. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan media aplikasi Quizizz untuk meningkatkan motivasi siswa dalam belajar Bahasa Inggris. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian pra-eksperimen dengan menggunakan siswa kelas X MA Mamba'ul Ulum Mambak sebagai populasi penelitian yang terdiri dari 25 siswa. Kegiatan penelitian diawali dengan pre-test, treatment dan post-test untuk mengumpulkan data penelitian. Kemudian data diolah dengan menggunakan SPSS 25.0 untuk memperoleh hasil data. Temuan dalam penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan pada skor rata-rata yaitu Mean Pre-test dan Post-tess -26.20000, Selisih terendah antara Pre-test dan Post-test adalah -29.53220 dan selisih tertinggi antara Pre-test dan Post-test adalah -22.86780. Nilai T-test berdasarkan hasil Independent Sample T-test adalah -16.228 df:24. T-table sebesar 0,000. Nilai T-table lebih kecil dari 0,05 (0,000 < 0,005). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Aplikasi Quizizz dinilai efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris dibandingkan dengan penggunaan media konvensional.
