Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik di SMP Negeri 21 Mataram melalui penerapan pembelajaran IPA dengan konteks budaya lokal. Hasil belajar yang dimaksud terbatas pada ranah kognitif dan ranah afektif. Penelitian pra eksperimen ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 21 Mataram pada tahun ajaran 2022/2023, dengan jumlah peserta didik sebanyak 30 orang. Instrumen tes pada ranah kognitif terdiri atas 20 soal pilihan ganda dan angket pada ranah afektif terdiri atas 12 pernyataan. Untuk melihat perbedaan nilai hasil belajar peserta didik pada saat pretest dan posttest maka dilakukan uji statistik yakni Paired Samples Test dengan terlebih dahulu menguji normalitas data menggunakan Shapiro-Whilk. Untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran IPA dengan konteks budaya lokal dilakukan uji N-gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang nyata antara ranah kognitif pada data pretest dan posttest, begitupula untuk ranah afektif. Dari perhitungan N-gain diperoleh bahwa nilai rata-rata ranah kognitif pada pretest sebesar 32.2 meningkat menjadi sebesar 87.5 pada posttest dengan kategori efektif. Nilai rata-rata pada pretest untuk ranah afektif sebesar 76.3 meningkat menjadi 93.8 pada posttest dengan kategori cukup efektif. Dengan demikian, terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas VII di SMP Negeri 21 Mataram melalui penerapan pembelajaran IPA dengan konteks budaya lokal
