Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of project-based learning (PHJBL) on learning outcomes and critical thinking skills of students in lathe machining techniques at SMK Negeri 2 Merangin. This study uses an experimental method, with the design used is a pre-experimental design in the form of a one group pretest-posttest design. The research sample used XI TP2 class students. The following variable relationship with simple linear analysis technique. The results showed that the value of learning outcomes 87.50% of students increased by 9.79%. The value of students' critical thinking skills increased by 11.51%. The percentage of students who have reached the predicate competent in the final learning outcomes of 95.80% increased by 80.50% compared to before the establishment of the project-based learning model by referring to the standard score set.
