Utilization of Google Classroom as an Effective Communication Media to Increase Student Learning Motivation (Business Communication Lecture Study)

Abstract
This study aims to determine the use of Google Classroom (GCR) as a communication medium in fostering student learning motivation in the Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics, Asahan University. Technology and Information (IT) has entered the world of education, one of which is in higher education, has become part of the lifestyle, especially in the academic world. i. In this study, researchers used descriptive qualitative research methods with data collection techniques through text messages of lecture assignments through Google Classroom. The informants of this study include students of the Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics, Asahan University in semester III of the 2023/2024 Academic Year who take courses from lecturers teaching Business Communication Courses by utilizing Google Classroom as part of the lecture process, students who become informants come from parallel classes of local classes A and B which are taken using purposive sampling techniques including 10 people from local III-F, 10 people from local III-G, 10 people from local III-E, 10 people from local III-J and 10 people from local III-L, the total informants in this study were 50 people. The result of this study is the utilization of communication media for GCR learning is very helpful for lecturers and students, which is an excellent learning communication media to produce an increase in student academic achievement in technological knowledge.
