Abstract
With increasing energy consumption where energy use still comes from fossil energy sources, so that renewable energy development efforts are needed. Utilization of renewable energy with seasonal conditions in Indonesia where rainfall is quite high, besides that there are also many rivers, waterfalls, irrigation water available in Indonesia and almost spread throughout the region. So this condition can be utilized in the water sector where flowing water is used to drive a turbine connected to a DC generator to produce a DC power source. The generating system used is the Micro Hydro Power Plant (MHP) by utilizing irrigation water in rice fields. The methods used in this research are literature study, site observation, system design, testing and data collection. In the data collection and observations made, the river flow is mathematically calculated regarding the water discharge, and also monitors the results using the IoT application.
