Abstract

The aim of this study is identifying how to solve students' misconceptions on the topic of (H2S) problem by conducting boiling point elevation experiments. This research was conducted into two steps. Firstly, proved the construction error of the boiling point in LabMaya. Secondly, is the to overcome it. In the first step, a real experiment was conducted based on the simulation in LabMaya. In the second step using the reconstructed set of tools. Results of the data analysis showed that the LabMaya construction proved to cause a very large reduction in solvent. The errors were 27.63%, 33.33%, and 40.75%, respectively. The reconstructed device proved to be able to maintain the amount of solvent so that it would not change the concentration of the solution. This equipment has a very small error, less than 5%. Of the three condensers used, namely Vigreux, Liebig, and Graham, it was found that the Graham condenser had the best accuracy
