Correction, Retraction, and Withdrawal Policy
Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan IPA (JPPIPA) is committed to preserving the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of the scholarly record.
The journal follows recognized publication ethics principles, including guidance from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), when addressing errors or ethical concerns.
1. Corrections
Corrections may be issued when errors are identified in published articles that do not invalidate the main findings or conclusions.
Corrections may involve author information, data presentation, figures, tables, references, or other relevant content.
A correction notice will clearly identify the original article and describe the changes made.
2. Retractions
An article may be retracted when there is reliable evidence of serious problems, including:
-
Fabrication or falsification of research data.
-
Plagiarism or substantial duplication.
-
Serious methodological errors that invalidate the findings.
-
Unethical research practices.
-
Manipulation of authorship or peer review.
-
Other major violations of publication ethics.
Retraction notices will explain the reasons for retraction and remain publicly accessible. Retracted articles will ordinarily remain available with clear retraction identification to preserve the scholarly record.
3. Withdrawal
Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan IPA (JPPIPA) recognizes that, under certain circumstances, authors may need to request the withdrawal of a manuscript. However, manuscript withdrawal should only be requested for valid and justifiable reasons.
Withdrawal Before the Editorial or Peer-Review Process
Authors may request the withdrawal of a manuscript before the editorial or peer-review process has begun. The withdrawal request must be formally submitted by the corresponding author to the Editor of JPPIPA.
Withdrawal During the Editorial or Peer-Review Process
Once a manuscript has entered the editorial or peer-review process, withdrawal is strongly discouraged. If withdrawal is necessary, the corresponding author must submit a formal request to the Editor, clearly stating the reason for the withdrawal.
A manuscript will only be considered officially withdrawn after the authors have received written confirmation from the Editor of JPPIPA. Until such confirmation is received, the manuscript remains under consideration by JPPIPA and must not be submitted to another journal.
Withdrawal After Acceptance
Withdrawal of a manuscript that has already been accepted for publication is strongly discouraged and will only be considered under certain circumstances with clear and justifiable reasons. The final decision regarding the withdrawal request rests with the Editor of JPPIPA.
4. Expressions of Concern
The Editorial Board may publish an Expression of Concern when substantial questions regarding an article's reliability or integrity remain unresolved.
All editorial actions will be conducted transparently, fairly, and in accordance with recognized publication ethics standards.
5. Publication Fees and Refunds
Any fees already paid to JPPIPA are non-refundable if the authors decide to withdraw their manuscript after the editorial or peer-review process has begun, including manuscripts that have already been accepted for publication.
By submitting a manuscript to JPPIPA, all authors acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to this Article Withdrawal Policy.
