Abstract
Technology-based learning media has been shown to increase student motivation, engagement, and conceptual understanding. This study aims to design, develop, and test an Arduino Uno-based Melde's Law experimental apparatus—fabricated using 3D printing technology—named MeldeWave Pro. The research was motivated by the limitations of conventional apparatuses, which are costly, difficult to calibrate, and lack real-time data visualization capabilities. MeldeWave Pro serves as an innovative solution, integrating a frequency sensor, a high-precision electric motor, and a digital interface (featuring an LCD screen and serial monitor) to display standing wave data in real-time. The study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) framework. System testing confirmed high mechanical stability, while test results demonstrate that MeldeWave Pro consistently generates clear standing waves across various frequencies and string tensions. A rigorous feasibility assessment involving subject matter experts, instructional media experts, and end-users (11th-grade high school students) yielded an average validation score of 3.703 out of 4.00, officially classifying the device as "highly feasible." Ultimately, these results confirm that MeldeWave Pro provides an effective, highly accurate, interactive, and affordable solution to enhance conceptual understanding and practical engagement in modern physics education.
