Abstract
This study aimed to develop and evaluate the KADOGI (Energy Domino Card) learning medium for third grade elementary science learning on basic energy sources. The research employed a Research and Development approach using the ADDIE model, consisting of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Validation was conducted by material and media experts, followed by an individual/small group trial involving 12 students and a field trial involving 24 students. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and pretest–posttest assessments. The results showed that KADOGI obtained a validation score of 92% from material experts and 88% from media experts, indicating high validity. Practicality results demonstrated very positive responses from teachers and students, confirming ease of use and suitability for classroom implementation. The t-test results show that <0.001 so it can be concluded there is a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results. Effectiveness testing revealed a significant improvement in learning outcomes, with average N-Gain scores of 0.66 in the small group trial and 0.67 in the field trial, both categorized as moderate. In conclusion, KADOGI is a valid, practical, and effective learning medium for supporting third grade students’ understanding of basic energy concepts.Top of Form
